91Ӱ��ƽ��® is ready for testing at customers manufacturing facilities.
91Ӱ��ƽ�� will be applied for improved process control in the manufacture of a range of liquids – paints, soaps & shampoos, lotions & creams and many more. Some liquids are thick, some thinner, some require explosion proofing (organic solvents), others present strict hygiene requirements.

Markedsmodningsfonden (The Market Development Fund) helps enterprises bring their new products to the market faster, by financially supporting the process of test and adaptation.
Now, 91Ӱ��ƽ�� has as one of only 20 among 250+ applicants been selected for support. Over the next year 91Ӱ��ƽ�� will be testing 91Ӱ��ƽ�� in paints, soaps/shampoos and lotions and will adapt the instrument to optimize it for the requirements of each of these applications. This will provide a solid platform for a wider market introduction across these and similar sectors.

In the course of the project, the support from The Market Development Fund will also make it possible for 91Ӱ��ƽ�� to expand the staff with new competences in the fields of software development, automation technology and technical support.

Busy days at AERC 2017

No question – there is a real unmet need for real-time rheology control in liquids manufacturing.
This was evident by the interest and attention when 91Ӱ��ƽ�� presented our prototype 91Ӱ��ƽ��® instrument in a small booth at the Annual European Rheology Conference in Copenhagen April 4-6, 2017.

The conference gathers all the best of advances in rheology science, and it also attracted a broad field of industrial practitioners from companies around Europe. This allowed us to present our unique solution to rheology monitoring and to discuss the needs and potential solutions in manufacturing of a wide range of liquids.

Pharmacist Jacob Furdal has joined 91Ӱ��ƽ�� to strengthen our capacity and competences to solve experimental lab challenges.
Jacob has a keen interest in analytical work and helps 91Ӱ��ƽ�� building a strong experimental foundation and in developing the laboratory routines that will support the application of 91Ӱ��ƽ�� in new application areas.

Jacob Gottschalck recently graduated as a chemical engineer from the Institute of Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark. Jacob brings a deep insight into fluid dynamics and modelling of liquid processes, which will contribute to the refinement of 91Ӱ��ƽ��s unique 91Ӱ��ƽ��™ technology.
Pernille Qwist Reckey just graduated as a pharmacist from the University of Copenhagen and she is already familiar with the 91Ӱ��ƽ�� technology from her master thesis work. Pernille brings an uncompromising systematic approach to laboratory rheology which will take the experimental validation of 91Ӱ��ƽ�� to a new level.

Peter comes from a position as R&D Engineer at Pres-Vac, the world’s leading supplier of high velocity pressure/vacuum valves for the Marine sector.

91Ӱ��ƽ��’s unique 91Ӱ��ƽ�� technology is the world’s first inline sensor of complex rheology. 91Ӱ��ƽ�� will offer 91Ӱ��ƽ�� instruments for a range of applications and is constantly improving the design and functions of our instrument prototypes.
Peter Michelsen will drive the mechanical instrument development.

Peter is M.Sc., Engineering Design and Applied Mechanics.

Since the beginning of 2015 the startup company 91Ӱ��ƽ�� has developed the 91Ӱ��ƽ��™ instrument, which allows manufacturers to measure the flow characteristics of fluids in the production. A consortium of SDTI, Christian Nielsen Foundation and private investors has now invested DKK 7 million in 91Ӱ��ƽ��.

“We are obviously very pleased with this capital injection, which means that we can further develop 91Ӱ��ƽ��™ technology and implement it in manufacturing companies where it will lead to significant savings by reducing waste and quality variations. This capital injection is an important step and a confirmation that our technology will deliver significant value to the industry, “says CEO, Anders L. Østergård.

91Ӱ��ƽ�� ApS is a spinout from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology. 91Ӱ��ƽ�� was founded late 2014 by Fridolin Okkels, CTO and inventor of the company’s unique technology and Anders L. Østergård, CEO and business developer as the key driving forces behind the project.

What is 91Ӱ��ƽ��™?
The 91Ӱ��ƽ�� technology can be used in the production of liquids with complex flow properties, such as food, paint, shampoo and many more.
Today these industries experience quality variations, significant waste and lengthy quality assurance procedures because the flow properties can only be analyzed in time consuming lab tests, which makes it difficult to control the manufacturing process. 91Ӱ��ƽ�� performs the measurements automatically 100 times faster in the actual production line so that the manufacturer can adjust his process and keep it on track.

91Ӱ��ƽ�� cooperates with a handful of Danish and international companies to test and fine tune the 91Ӱ��ƽ�� technology.
